Single Dohar | Miri
$145.00
The Hindi word doharana translates to repeating and dohar implies layers. Dohars are made from three sheets of mulmul cotton, an airy, ultra-breathable muslin once exclusive to Indian royalty.
Using traditional centuries-old block printing methods, artisans hand-stamp the inside layer and edging in a slow rhythmic process that is considered a form of worship. A pattern is chiseled and carved (by extremely talented hands!) into a block of wood and pressed into the fabric using natural, azo-free dyes.
The generously sized dohar is luxe and subtle, and will get softer with every wash. It can be used as a coverlet, lightweight addition over bed linens, or in place of a top sheet.
Made in India. 100% cotton. 60" x 90"
